Day 1 comes to a close

So Day 1 has come to a close. It was a pretty uneventful day. Lucky for me most of what we have in the house is already Feingold friendly. The boys are very willing to follow the diet. So we shall see what the week brings. I will only be sharing specifics with Joey as he is the driving force behind this experiment.
Summary of Joey's Common Issues
  • Flapping when excited
  • Tantrums/fits when he doesn't get his way
  • Difficulty/pushback with every day requests (examples: clean up your toys, go to the bathroom, get your coat on, etc)
  • Lack of focus/attentiveness at times (this was also confirmed by Joey's teacher)
  • bumps on neck (not sure if related to diet)
  • Frequent daytime wetting/dripping

The beginning

So I am starting my first blog and the topic is going to be the Frasetto experience with the Feingold diet. I am putting the boys on the diet to see if it helps with certain things, such as tantrums, daytime wetting, nighttime wetting, attention, focus, flapping, and some other minor ailments.

I will not divulge the symptoms specific to the boys. I will just say that I believe the Feingold diet should be followed by everyone. It eliminates all the things that are bad for everyone specifically artificial flavors, colors, and preservatives, which is why the symptoms do not really matter.

It is an experiment to see if it helps with those symptoms, but either way it will eliminate items that are not good for our bodies and we will, as a family, all try to follow it.
